Corroborated before drafting
A story starts from a public announcement that has been corroborated. An announcement that cannot be confirmed does not become an article, and an unconfirmed detail is left out rather than hedged into the copy.

The newsroom covers the part of music news that touches the catalogue: releases that add songs worth indexing, chart movement that changes what the Hot 100 page shows, and the credit and rights stories behind them. Every story is original text written from public announcements, not a rewrite of another outlet's report.
A story starts from a public announcement that has been corroborated. An announcement that cannot be confirmed does not become an article, and an unconfirmed detail is left out rather than hedged into the copy.
Nothing auto-publishes. Drafts are read by an editor and released deliberately, which is why coverage here is narrower and slower than an aggregator feed.
When a cited announcement is corrected by whoever issued it, the article is corrected to match and stays up. Stories are amended rather than quietly deleted.
Where a story concerns a song that has a page here, it links to the lyric, the credits and the chart record, so a claim in the copy can be checked against the catalogue entry behind it.
The Hot 100 page carries the current dated snapshot, with peak positions kept separate from current rank.
The magazine explains how lyrics, credits, chart positions and synced timings actually work — the standing explainers behind the news.
Sourcing, review and correction rules are written down in the editorial policy. Corrections reach us through the editorial desk.
